UNITED COMMUNITY BANK PARTNERS WITH FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANK TO DONATE $40,000 TO HEART OF THE LAKES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

United Community Bank (UCB) and Federal Home Loan Bank-Des Moines (FHLB) are proud to announce a $40,000 donation to the construction of the new, expanded playground at Heart of the Lakes (HOTL) Elementary School.

Jen Hendrickson, former Principal of HOTL Elementary School and current Commercial Lending Officer at UCB, is excited about how this can help HOTL Elementary School, “We’re thrilled to partner with FHLB to assist the Heart of the Lakes Elementary School grow its playground. We have amazing schools in the area and are so happy to help them continue doing great things.”
The goal of this donation is to provide something that will stand the test of time for all kids in Perham and surrounding areas to use and to cherish. UCB has been proud to help and assist with many projects at our area schools over the years. We gladly donate water to Perham School concession stands for all sports, and we proudly cheer on our Yellowjackets every year. We also proudly award the “Battle of the Bees” scholarship to graduating Perham and Frazee seniors.
